Snowshoeing

Snowshoeing is an easy way to gain a winter experience  without having to concentrate on mastering a new technique. Requiring a much lower skills base than skiing, it is said that if you can walk you can snow shoe, this is correct! You don't have to venture far to enjoy the remote beauty of the alpine wonder world winding through snow gums & granite outcrops. Your tour will commence with an equipment familiarisation. Our guides will pass on interesting natural & cultural interpretive information about the Australian Alps along the way whilst sharing technique tips & tricks to make it even easier!

SMBC offers guided day or half day snowshoeing trips. Although fitness is generally not a problem a suitable level of fitness is still required. We can customise tours to suit your needs whether it's a one on one or group tour. We can also very easily design tours that deliver educative & skills based outcomes, notice will be required for this.

Snowshoes & trekking poles are supplied.
