Mt Tate Tour: This is an arduous, challenging tour which requires a high level of fitness! Conditions must be suitable for us to run this tour! Starting from our HQ at Guthega this tour circumnavigates the Guthega River drainage with excellent vista's to the Main Range including Kosciuszko, down to the charming Guthega ski village & along the Snowy River. After crossing the Guthega Dam Wall (the highest & first dam of the Snowy Scheme finished in 1955) we gain Guthega Trig & head for Consett Stephen Pass then onto Mt Tate, along Tate East Ridge & back down to Guthega Pondage. This snowshoe tour is a great altenative to a Kosciuszko tour with different & equally as stunning Main Range alpine views & without the cost of a chairlift ride.

PLEASE NOTE: a full days snowshoeing in fresh snow could see a tour rated as Moderate very easily become Advanced, therefore intended route plans may become amended. This would be at the discretion of the guide as safety is our priority.
