Make a winter ascent on snowshoes to the top of Australia & climb this iconic mountain with SMBC. Book a private tour, with family & friends or join a group. Mountaineers from all over the world attempt to climb the "Seven Summits", the highest peak on each of the world's seven continents including Australia's Mount Kosciuszko. Good news is although the conditions can make it difficult at times unlike most Seven Summits it is a very attainable undertaking for most.

Snowshoeing is a very low skills base activity & if you can walk you can snowshoe. This means you can enjoy winter wonderland without spending days out of your precious holiday time mastering a new skill!
Kosi is a reasonably straight forward objective but can be often plagued by extremely strong winds, poor visibility, blizzards & ice. SMBC will guide you to the top whilst sharing natural & cultural interpretive information with you & discuss contingency plans & strategies for backcountry survival. We believe it’s always good to take a few learning experiences away with you but this isn’t a course & we will gauge just how much knowledge you would like.

When it comes to clothing for snowshoeing think bushwalking! Thermal baselayer, fleece mid layer, protective outerlayer as a shell jacket & pants or rain ware will work fine, gaters if you have them, hiking boots, an insulation layer either synthetic or down, gloves, beanie, sun hat, neck gater, food & water....lets go!
Book now & climb Kosi with SMBC this winter. For detailed information go to our Summiting Mt Kosciuszko Page hit the buttons at the buttom to make a booking & to find a detailed gear list.
