The recent cold fronts have unloaded an unprecedented amount of pre season snow over the Main Range! This pic from last Thursday shows SMBC Guide Rohan Kenno Kennedy skinning across 2136 (aka Tennison Woods Knoll) with evidence of the low falls we have been receiving in the background.
The range is now at almost mid winter conditions & it's not even the long weekend. All approaches are very good with full snow cover from the trail heads.
Since this pic was taken we have had more than another 40cm so don't wait Alpinist's & get down to the Snowy Mountains & let the touring begin.
